Scope

This standard is intended to prevent the accumulation of explosive gases in the gasoline engine compartment and gasoline tank compartment of boats with a gasoline engine for propulsion, electricity generation, or mechanical power, and whose hull length is less than 24 m. Specifies requirements for ventilation of compartments. Please note that personal watercraft are not included in this standard.
