Scope

This standard requires that a driver maintain a short following distance and approach speed that is likely to cause a collision with the rear of another vehicle (including motorcycles) in front of a vehicle traveling at normal speed (hereinafter referred to as the vehicle). This standard specifies the requirements and test methods for equipment with the function of providing an alarm.
