Scope

This standard is. Specifies testing methods for metallic elements (sodium, potassium, calcium, magnesium, copper, zinc, lead, cadmium, nickel, cobalt, manganese, chromium, aluminum, and iron) in ultrapure water. Note: This method can also be applied to tests for metallic elements contained in purified water other than ultrapure water.
