This standard applies to waterproof plugs and waterproof socket outlets (hereinafter referred to as accessories) with a rated current of 250 A or less used in AC circuits with a nominal voltage of 690 V or less and a frequency of 50 Hz or 60 Hz, and DC circuits with a nominal voltage of 220 V or less onboard ships. Specifies general requirements. For matters not specified in this standard, JIS C 8285-1 shall apply.
