Scope

This standard specifies the requirements, test methods, inspection rules, packaging, marking, transportation, storage and safety of n-butyl acetate for industrial use. This standard applies to the production, inspection and sale of n-butyl acetate for industrial use obtained from the esterification of acetic acid and n-butanol in the presence of a catalyst.
