Scope
This specification covers an alkaline degreaser compound in the form of a liquid concentrate or a water-soluble powder for dilution with water. This product has been used typically for removing oils, greases, or other soils from aircraft turbine engine parts by immersion in a solution of the compound at elevated temperature, but usage is not limited to such applications. These compounds are unsuitable for cleaning aluminum or magnesium parts. Restrictions for cleaning titanium parts may be imposed by the engine manufacturer.
