- Scope
- This standard applies to thyristor valves for HVDC transmission or for grid-commutated converters as part of a back-to-back system, with metal oxide arresters directly connected across the valve. This section is limited to electrical type tests and factory tests. The tests specified in this standard are based on air-insulated valves. The requirements and acceptance criteria of this test must also be followed for other types of valves.
