This standard specifies the determination of Staphylococcus aureus in foods (Petrifilm test strip method). This standard is applicable to the counting of Staphylococcus aureus in food and food poisoning samples. It is applicable to foods with higher Staphylococcus aureus content and to foods with lower Staphylococcus aureus content and higher miscellaneous bacteria content.
