- Scope
- This standard specifies the potentiometric titration method for the determination of chloride ion content in soil. This standard is applicable to sample solutions with chloride ion content (calculated as Cl) between 1 mg/L and 1500 mg/L (the chloride ion content in the test solution taken for titration is 0.01 mg to 75 mg). When the concentration of the silver nitrate standard solution used is less than 0.02mol/L, the titration should be carried out in an ethanol-water solution.
