Scope

This standard specifies a method for determining the biuret content in compound fertilizers using copper sulfate spectrophotometry. This standard is applicable to the determination of biuret content in compound fertilizers (including organic-inorganic compound fertilizers). This standard does not apply when the compound fertilizer contains pesticides that affect the color reaction (such as sodium pentachlorophenol, etc.).
