- Scope
- This standard specifies the high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) and gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS) methods for determining the content of melamine in feed, of which the GC-MS method is the confirmatory method. This standard is applicable to the determination of melamine in compound feed, concentrated feed, additive premixed feed, plant-based protein feed, and pet feed (dry food, canned food). In this standard, the minimum quantitation limit of HPLC method is 2.0 mg/kg, and the minimum quantification limit of GC-MS method is 0.05 mg/kg.
