- This standard specifies the terms and definitions, basic electroacoustic characteristics and measurement methods of unitary pulse echo ultrasonic transducers. This standard applies to piezoelectric unit-type pulse-echo ultrasonic transducers used both as transmitter and receiver. The diameter of its effective radiation surface is not greater than 30 mm and the operating frequency range is 1MHz to 10MHz.
