Scope

This standard specifies the test method for the activity of catalysts for the oxidation of sulfur dioxide to sulfuric acid. This standard applies to sulfur dioxide oxidation catalysts that oxidize sulfur dioxide into sulfur trioxide during the contact method of sulfuric acid production.
