This standard specifies requirements for the evaluation of the performance and characteristics of balancing machines for balancing rotating parts. This standard highlights the format in which balancing machine characteristics should be given by the manufacturer and outlines the evaluation criteria and test methods for balancing machines. It is recommended to adopt the formats specified in 4.1 and 4.2, so that users can compare products of different manufacturers. Appendix B gives guidance to guide users in expressing their requirements. This standard specifies the calibration rotors, test masses and performance testing methods used to ensure compliance with the unbalance indicating ability specified by the balancing machine. This standard does not specify the testing of other capabilities and performance parameters of the balancing machine. Appendix E describes the recommended modification scheme for the old calibration rotors stipulated in the original national standards GB/T 4201-1984 and GB/T 7662-1987. This standard does not specify the balance criterion, which is specified in GB/T 9239.1-2006. This standard applies to balancing machines that support and make the workpiece rotate in equilibrium (rigidity) at the balance speed. The balancing machine can indicate the magnitude and phase angle of unbalance correction on one or more planes. This standard covers two types of balancing machines for measuring the effects of unbalance on soft bearings. This standard also includes the technical requirements for the above-mentioned balancing machines, but does not include special features such as those related to automatic calibration. This standard is applicable to balancing machines supported so that the working rotation is constant (rigid) at the balancing speed, and the balancing machine can indicate the magnitude and phase angle of unbalance correction in one or more planes. This standard covers both types of balancing machines for measuring the effects of unbalance on soft and hard bearings. This standard also includes the technical requirements for the above-mentioned balancing machines, but does not include special features such as those related to automatic calibration.
