Scope

This standard specifies the test principles, sample collection and preparation, instruments and materials, test procedures, test results, and precision for the determination of the melting point of 1,8-tetradicarboxylic anhydride. This standard is applicable to the determination of the melting point of 1,8-naphthalic anhydride obtained by oxidation of industrial acenaphthene separated from high-temperature coal tar.
