Scope

This standard specifies the requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation and storage of industrial dibutyl phthalate (DBP). This standard applies to DBP prepared by esterification of phthalic anhydride and n-butanol. Molecular formula: C₁₆H₂₂O₄ Structural formula: Relative molecular mass: 278.34 (according to the international relative atomic mass in 2001)
