Scope

This standard specifies methods for measuring the pour point of crude oil and petroleum products and the cloud point of petroleum products. However, the cloud point test is not applicable to opaque products when the liquid layer thickness is 40 mm, or to petroleum products with a cloud point of 49°C or higher.
