Scope
This standard specifies test cycles and measurement methods for on-site evaluation of exhaust smoke emissions from compression ignition engines. This standard is mainly used as exhaust smoke concentration measurement procedures for organizations certified or type approved in accordance with JIS B 8009-9. JIS B 8009-9 specifies test cycles and test methods for measuring exhaust smoke concentration in engines for various applications operated on benches.
