SAE AMS-DTL-23053-1999 Insulation Sleeving, Electrical, Heat Shrinkable, General Specification for FSC 5970; Should Be Used Instead of MIL-DTL-23053E, Which Was Cancelled on 16 September 1999
This specification establishes the requirements for various types and colors of electrical insulating sleeving that will shrink to a predetermined size upon the application of heat. This specification includes provisions for demonstrating compliance with requirements through in process inspection and statistical process control. Continuous operating temperature ratings range from -80 degrees to +250 degrees C (-112 degrees to +482 degrees F).
