This standard is a method for internal friction testing of fine ceramics, in which a plate-shaped specimen is caused to resonate with the fundamental vibration of the bending mode, and the shape of the resonance peak or free damping is determined at high temperatures from room temperature to 1500°C. Specifies the method for measuring internal friction.
