Scope

This standard summarizes the test methods applied to solid non-metallic materials with an apparent density of 250 kg/m3 or more measured in accordance with ISO 845, and provides preliminary information on the behavior of materials when exposed to flame, which is an ignition source. It is meant to represent. The test results can be used to check that the properties of the material remain unchanged or to obtain an indication of progress in material development and for relative comparisons and classification of different materials.
