- Scope
- This method is suitable for metal Izod impact testing. The Izod impact test uses Izod impact at room temperature (25°±10°C) to measure the energy absorbed when the notch of the sample breaks. The specimen is broken by one impact of the pendulum. During impact, the specimen is clamped vertically, and the bottom of the notch and the top surface of the positioning block are in the same plane. The pendulum is at a certain height above the gap and impacts below the gap.
