- This standard specifies the size specifications, technical requirements, test methods and acceptance rules of carbon arc gouging carbon rods with artificial graphite, natural graphite and asphalt as the main raw materials and with a copper layer on the surface. This standard applies to carbon rods used for carbon arc gouging operations. The carbon rods can be used for gouging and cutting of metal materials.
