Scope
1.1 This part includes the information and guidance of GB/T20438.2 and GB/T20438.3: ——Appendix A describes the requirements of GB/T20438.2 and GB/T20438.3, as well as the functional steps in the application process . - Appendix B lists how to calculate the probability of hardware failure. When reading, you should combine 7.4.3 and Appendix C of GB/T20438.2-2006 and Appendix D of this part. ——Appendix C gives a calculation example of the diagnostic coverage rate, which should be read in conjunction with Appendix C of GB/T20438.2-2006. - Appendix D describes the methodology for quantifying the hardware common cause failure rate. ——Appendix E gives an application example of the software safety integrity table specified in GB/T 20438.3-2006 Appendix A at safety integrity levels 2 and 3. 1.2 GB/T20438.1, GB/T20438.2, GB/T20438.3 and GB/T20438.4 are basic safety standards, although they are not applicable to simple E/E/PE safety-related systems (see GB/T20438. 3.4.4 of 4-2006), as the underlying safety standard, according to the principles contained in IEC Guide 104 and ISO/IEC Guide 51, which should be used by the relevant technical committees when developing standards. GB/T20438 can also be used independently. 1.3 When applicable, technical committees shall use the Basic Safety Standards when developing their standards. That is, the requirements, test methods or test conditions involved in this basic safety standard can only be applied if they are referenced or included in the development of the standard by the relevant technical committee. 1.4 Figure 1 shows the overall framework of GB/T 20438 and points out the role of this part in realizing the functional safety of E/E/PE safety-related systems.
