This standard specifies the Nessler's reagent colorimetric method for the determination of ions in various types of water. This standard is applicable to the determination of ammonium ions in coal mine industrial water, domestic water, surface water, and groundwater. When 50mL of test water sample is taken, the concentration range of measured gold ions is 0.05-5mg/L. Diluting water samples can expand the measurement range. This standard does not apply to the determination of ions in water samples containing industrial substances such as ketones, aldehydes, alcohols and certain amines.
