Scope
This standard specifies the general requirements for the direct determination of water content by the Karl Fischer coulometric method. This method is applicable to natural gas with a water content ranging from 5 m9/m3 to 5 000 m9/m3, the total content of hydrogen sulfide and mercaptans being less than 20% o of the water content, and other gases that do not react with Karl Fischer reagents. The standard reference condition for volumetric measurements is 20. C, 101.325 kPa.
