Scope: This International Standard gives guidance for assessing the optical biosafety of lamps and lamp systems, including various luminaires. For the assessment and control of photobiological hazards of optical radiation in the wavelength range from 200 nm to 3000 nm for all incoherent broadband point sources, also including light-emitting diodes (LEDs) but not lasers, this standard refers to measurement techniques for exposure limits and grading plan are clearly defined.
