According to the provisions of GB/T 8566-2001 "Information Technology Software Life Cycle Process", this standard mainly stipulates the basic requirements for the main documents that should be compiled during the software development process and management process, as well as their content and format. In principle, this standard is applicable to the development process and management process of all types of software products. Users can tailor this standard according to the actual situation (the required document type can be tailored, and the content of the specification can also be tailored appropriately). From the perspective of use, software documentation can be roughly divided into two categories: user documentation needed by software users and internal documentation (development documentation) used by developers during the development process. The type and scale of the documents to be provided by the supplier shall be stipulated in the contract by the buyer and supplier of the software.
