Scope

This standard specifies methods for testing the density and water absorption of coarse aggregates (). Note () When testing lightweight coarse aggregate for structures by absorbing water for 24 hours from an absolutely dry state, follow JISA 1135. () When testing the density and water absorption rate of coarse aggregate using a pycnometer, JIS A 1109 can be used.
