- This standard specifies the terms and definitions, product classification, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation and storage of propeller flow meters. This standard is applicable to propeller-type current meters (current meters for short) that measure the average flow velocity (which may also include flow direction) at natural water bodies such as rivers, coasts, ports, waterways, and navigation buildings.
