Scope

This standard specifies the terms and definitions, product classification, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, markings and instructions for use, packaging, transportation, and storage of automotive exhaust analyzers (hereinafter referred to as analyzers). This standard applies to instruments for detecting exhaust pollutants from ignition engines and vehicles equipped with ignition engines in use.
