This standard specifies the sample preparation, storage and microbial inhibition testing methods for the detection of β-lactams, tetracyclines, macrolides and aminoglycosides in food of animal origin. This standard is applicable to the screening and detection of antibiotic residues in meat, eggs, fish and shrimp. Positive results must be confirmed by other methods.
