- This regulation stipulates the safety requirements for tailings ponds in terms of construction, production operation, safety inspection, safety, closure, reuse, and safety evaluation. This procedure applies to tailings ponds of metallic and non-metallic mineral concentrators and red mud ponds of alumina plants within the territory of the People's Republic of China. Other wet-type industrial waste slag warehouses, power plant ash slag warehouses and dry-processed tailings ponds can refer to this implementation.
