- Scope
- This standard specifies a fracture mechanics method for determining, in a controlled environment, the crack growth rate of a pre-crack under cyclic loading and measures the range of critical stress strength factors for crack growth. Under this range, the crack growth rate is lower than the limit value defined by each party. This section applies to corrosion fatigue tests of metals and alloys in liquid or gaseous environments.
