- Scope
- This standard specifies the technical requirements, test methods and inspection rules for carbon blocks and self-baking carbon bricks used in various types of submerged arc furnaces. This standard applies to conventional carbon blocks for ferroalloy furnaces, calcium carbide furnace linings and submerged arc furnaces made of conductive materials, as well as self-baking carbon bricks for large and medium-sized calcium carbide furnace bottoms and molten pool linings.
