Scope

This part specifies the potassium permanganate method for the determination of barium peroxide content in pyrotechnic powder. This section applies to the determination of barium peroxide content in pyrotechnic powder. This standard does not apply to pyrotechnic charges containing other substances capable of being oxidized by potassium permanganate in addition to barium peroxide.
