Scope
This part specifies the potassium permanganate method for the determination of sodium oxalate and ammonium oxalate in pyrotechnics. This part applies to the determination of sodium oxalate and ammonium oxalate in pyrotechnic powder. This section does not apply to pyrotechnic powders which contain, in addition to sodium oxalate or ammonium oxalate, substances which can be oxidized by permanganic acid.
