Scope

This standard specifies the sample, test equipment and instrument, test procedure, test result evaluation and treatment of the instrumented test method for dynamic impact of metallic materials. This standard is applicable to the determination of impact force, sample deformation, force-time curve, force-displacement curve and impact energy decomposition with metal Charpy V-notch and U-notch specimens at room temperature (15°C-30°C).
