Scope
This standard mainly specifies the test methods for open two-fiber bidirectional WDM ring networks, including the performance of the main optical channel of the WDM ring network, the functions and performance of the wavelength converter (OTU), and the nodes of the optical add-drop multiplexer (OADM). Structure and basic functions, ring network protection switching methods, protection switching criteria and time, system transmission performance, sub-rate transparent multiplexer functions and performance, optical monitoring channel performance, network element and network management system functional testing and other specific contents . This standard applies to WDM ring-oriented products, and other types of products can also be implemented by reference.
