Scope

This method specifies the infrared test of the content of ethylene monomer and propylene monomer in ethylene-propylene copolymer (EPM) and ethylene-propylene-diene terpolymer (EPDM) with an ethylene mass percentage between 35% and 85%. method. These four methods cover a variety of industrial polymers that contain additives or polymerized diene monomers that interfere with different infrared peaks. Unless interference is present, the four methods will give the same results. Test methods are given in the following order. Lamination test method Test method A—EPM and EPDM with ethylene mass percentage between 35% and 65%. Test method B—EPM and EPDM with ethylene mass percentage between 60% and 85%, except ethylene/propylene/1,4-hexadiene terpolymer. Test method C - EPM and EPDM with ethylene mass percentage between 35% and 85%, using near infrared. Coating film test method Test method D—EPM and EPDM with an ethylene mass percentage between 35% and 85%, except ethylene/propylene/1,4-hexadiene terpolymer. These test methods are not applicable to oil-filled EPDM unless the filler oil has been previously removed in accordance with Test Method D. This standard uses the International Standard System of Units. This method does not cover all safety issues. If so, it is related to the user.
