- This standard specifies the technical requirements, test methods, packaging, marking, storage, transportation and delivery acceptance of food-grade petroleum jelly. This standard applies to food-grade petroleum jelly obtained from high-viscosity petroleum lubricating oil fractions, dewaxed wax paste, blended with lubricating oil base oil, and then refined. This product is suitable for petroleum jelly used as lubricants, release agents, protective coatings, defoaming agents, etc. in food processing.
