- Scope
- This standard test method, referred to as the Mack T-9 method, is used to evaluate the lead corrosion resistance and piston ring and cylinder liner wear resistance of diesel engine oil. The numerical units in this standard adopt the [SI] International System of Units. This standard covers certain hazardous materials, equipment and operations, but does not make recommendations on all relevant safety issues. Therefore, users should establish appropriate safety protection measures (see Appendix E) and establish corresponding safety operating procedures before using this standard.
