Scope

This standard specifies the classification, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, signs, labels and packaging, transportation and storage of hand-woven Aubusson-Palace carpets (hereinafter referred to as "Palace carpets"). This standard is applicable to pile-free palace carpets that use pure wool fibers as the weft threads on the carpet surface and cotton or blended fibers as the warp threads. The warp and weft threads are interwoven using hand-weaving techniques. It is also applicable to the quality and inspection of palace wall tapestries. Palace carpets woven from other fiber materials can also be used as a reference.
