- This standard specifies the test method for simple distillation of crude oil samples. This standard is applicable to various crude oils whose mass fraction of water is not higher than 0.5%. Distill to a temperature equivalent to 500C at atmospheric pressure. This standard does not address all safety issues related to its application. Before use, it is the responsibility of the user of this standard to formulate appropriate safety and health measures and to clarify its scope of application.
