- This standard stipulates and describes the classification, characteristics, causes and evaluation principles of structural steel pickling low-magnification defects, classification of rating charts and scope of application, evaluation methods and inspection reports. This standard is applicable to the evaluation of allowable and impermissible defects in acid-leached low-magnification cross-sections of carbon structural steel, alloy structural steel, and spring steel (forging, billet). According to the agreement between the supplier and the buyer, it can also be used to assess the defects of other steels with low-magnification structure.
