This standard specifies AC input transducers (hereinafter referred to as transducers) that have electrical inputs and outputs for measuring alternating current electrical quantities. The output signal shall be analog direct current or digital. The output of the transducer used for transmission purposes shall be compatible with the external equipment. This standard applies to transducers that convert alternating current electrical quantities into output signals, such as:
——Current—Voltage—Active power—Reactive power—Power factor—Phase angle—Frequency Within the measurement range, the output signal is a function of the measurand. Auxiliary power supplies may be used. This standard is also applicable to the following transducers:
——The nominal frequency of the input is 5Hz-1.5kHz. - When the measuring transducer forms part of a non-electrical quantity measuring device and is considered to fall within the scope of this standard. —Transducers used in applications such as telemetry and process control and in limited environments. ——Specifies terms and definitions related to power measurement technology, particularly transducers used in process control and telemetry equipment. —Unify and specify test methods for evaluating transducer performance. — Specify the accuracy limits and output values of the transducer.
