- This standard stipulates the purity requirements of compressed air for diving breathing and oxygen, nitrogen and helium for preparing diving breathing gas, as well as the maximum allowable value of the main pollutant components of the ambient gas in saturated diving chambers. This standard applies to air diving, mixed gas diving and saturation diving. It also applies to the design, manufacture and maintenance of diving systems, diving equipment and diving gear related to diving breathing gases.
