Scope

This standard specifies the general preventive measures for oil tankers and oil terminals, and the safe operation procedures for oil tankers when they arrive at the port, berthing, loading and unloading, ballasting, cleaning, degassing and entering closed compartments. This standard applies to crude oil, product oil tankers and oil terminals.
