- Scope
- This standard specifies the photometric method for the determination of trace copper content in rubber. This standard applies to natural and synthetic raw rubber, latex, mixed rubber and vulcanized rubber with a copper content not exceeding 10 mg/kg. For samples with a copper content higher than 10mg/kg, it can also be determined after adjusting the sample quality or diluting the solution appropriately. The method is equally applicable to hydrofluoric acid-treated silica-containing rubbers.
