This standard specifies the method for exposing rubber and plastic hoses to laboratory light sources to evaluate the color and appearance changes under such exposure conditions. NOTE: Xenon arc light was chosen over a variety of light sources because it produces a spectrum more similar to daylight when properly filtered and processed.
